elray: Expanded cinema artist Leslie Raymond has worked with the moving image for over 25 years. For the past decade, Raymond has collaborated with her partner Jason Jay Stevens as Potter-Belmar Labs. The duo's live cinema performances and installation artworks have appeared at such establishments as the Aurora Picture Show (Houston TX), San Antonio Museum of Art (TX), Other Cinema (San Francisco CA), and Squeaky Wheel (Buffalo NY). Raymond also produces special projects in contemporary expanded cinema practice including the "Digital New School" screening at the 2003 Ann Arbor Film Festival, the "A/V Showdown" live cinema competition at University of Michigan in 2005, and the "Live Cinema Summit" presentations and dialogues at Columbia College, Chicago during the 2010 College Art Association. Raymond is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Oakland University in the Detroit-area, and is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Michigan.
